The organizers of the first ever Danforth East Arts Fair is looking for artisans interested in being part of the event.
The fair will take place at East Lynn Park (Danforth Avenue, west of Woodbine Avenue) on the weekend of Sept. 19 and 20. Organizers are looking for artisans interested in applying for the juried arts and crafts event.
The show is being organized with the help of the Danforth East Community Association (DECA), a relatively new group of residents who came together to help make their neighbourhood more beautiful, vibrant and safe. They are also involved in the successful weekly farmers market at East Lynn Park on Thursdays.

Photography, stained glass and hand crafted beadwork are just a few of the items that will be on display and for sale at the Danforth East Arts Fair.
The community event takes place this weekend - Sept. 19 and 20 - at East Lynn Park featuring more than 35 artisans from the neighbourhood and beyond with their watercolours, soaps, children's toys, belts made of neckties, and jewelry.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the park on Danforth Avenue, west of Woodbine Avenue.
The Danforth East Community Association has organized the event as a way to bring the community together and have neighbours meet each other, as well as get to know the area. With coffee shops, ice cream parlours and pizza places populating the eastern Danforth, people can grab a snack or a refreshment and make an afternoon of it.
